Amazon MGM Studios is the primary film and television production and distribution arm of Amazon, formed in October 2023 following the merger of Amazon Studios (launched 2010) and the acquired MGM Holdings. Headquartered in Culver City, California, it creates original content for Prime Video and MGM+ while managing theatrical releases through MGM and Orion Pictures.
